A cornerstone of Pharma Nord's philosophy is that all
products must provide optimal bio-availability and
physiological effect. This is only possible by making
sure that both the raw materials selected and the production
methods employed are adjusted to the manufacturing
of superior quality. The result of this strategy is
a range of products that has distinguished itself as
a market leader in independent consumer tests and scientific
studies.
For instance, a comprehensive British study of 18 different ginkgo biloba supplements found that Pharma Nord's product, Bio-Biloba, was superior to the other products in the test. Pharma Nord's patented organic selenium yeast, SelenoPrecise®, has a documented bio-availability of 89% - so far the highest ever measured. Pharma Nord's Q10 product is an international reference product for the International Coenzyme Q10 Association, and Pharma Nord's Bio-Marin products are PureMax certified, indicating that they meet the strict purity demands associated with this purification technology.

Pharma Nord's products are divided in the following

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Vitamins
Features solo vitamin supplements like e.g. Bio-C-Vitamin
with 750 mg C-vitamin (ascorbic acid) in the form of
non-acidic calcium ascorbate that is gentle towards
the stomach lining. The series of vitamin preparations
also includes E-vitamin, beta-carotene, folic acid,
B-Complex and D-Pearls, small "gelatine pearls" containing
20 micrograms of D-vitamin (D3) in cold-pressed olive
oil for increased absorption.
Minerals
Pharma Nord's first product was a combination product
containing selenium, zinc and several vitamins. The
large interest in selenium has resulted in the development
of the patented organic selenium yeast, SelenoPrecise®,
with a documented absorption of 89% and a homogenous
content of the active selenium compound, l-selenomethionin.
SelenoPrecise® and the chromium yeast ChromoPrecise® are both developed and manufactured in Denmark by Pharma Nord. In addition, the Pharma Nord series includes preparations with zinc, iron, calcium and magnesium.
Multivitamin og mineral produckts
Bio-Selenium + Zinc is the product that set the stage
for Pharma Nord's entire existence. For more than
25 years, this preparation has been among the leading
selenium supplements. The latest addition is Multivitamin
Pharma Nord, a broad-spectrum vitamin and mineral
preparation based on excellent absorption of the
vitamin and mineral content.
Coenzyme Q10
Pharma Nord was the first company to introduce coenzyme Q10. This happened with the launch of Bio-Quinone Q10 in 1990. Today, this very preparation is viewed as the original coenzyme Q10 preparation with the unique formula of coenzyme Q10 in vegetable oil that makes sure the large Q10 molecules are properly dissolved and absorbed in the bloodstream. The preparation is an international reference product for the International Coenzyme Q10 Association and is used in scientific studies worldwide.
Essential fatty acids
Fatty acids have attracted a lot of attention, particularly
the essential omega-3 fatty acids. Ever since the
late 1980's,
Bio-Marin has been Pharma Nord's concept of an effective
omega-3 preparation. It contains omega-3 in the form
of free fatty acids, which the body can absorb directly.
Finnish research has shown that this type of omega-3
fatty acids has the same physiological effect as eating
fresh fish.
Bio-Glandin 25 is Pharma Nord's GLA oil, made from
borage nature's richest GLA source. A combination
of omega-3 and GLA can be found in the preparation
Bio-Sport, which has been developed specifically for
joggers and athletes who want to avoid involuntary
breaks in their training. There are also products targeted
at supporting the body's fat metabolism, for instance
CLA in various combinations. CLA is a fatty acid that
contributes to the conversion of fat to energy in muscle
tissue.
Herbal remedies
Bio-Biloba has won several independent tests of effect and quality. On two occasions, the
Dutch consumer organisation, Consumentenbond, placed Bio-Biloba at the top of the list: once for its unsurpassed level of raw material purity, and once for being the product that provided the most value-for-money with regard to overall effect. Similarly, a comprehensive British study* of 18 ginkgo biloba preparations showed that Bio-Biloba was significantly more effective than any of the other products in the test.

Beauty
With the introduction of Evelle, Pharma Nord has demonstrated that wrinkles can be prevented if you stimulate the skin from within. German scientists with the SIT (Skin Investigation and Technology) Institute in Hamburg, Germany, tested the product on a group of women. After six weeks, the women in the Evelle group had significantly smoother and more elastic skin. Recently, a unique Evelle cream and a Q10 cream series have been added to the range.
Medical drugs
Pharma Nord's goal-oriented work with scientific
documentation has resulted in several drug registrations,
for instance the Q10 preparation Myoquinone® that
is used as add-on therapy in chronic heart failure.
